No picture shall be produced that will lower the moral standards of those who see it. Hence the sympathy of the audience should never be thrown to the side of crime, wrongdoing, evil or sin. 
 
Law, natural or human, shall not be ridiculed, nor shall sympathy be created for its violation.

IMAX - The Dark Knight

IMAX has helped the dark night because:
  • It's a different experience to regular cinema.
  • The film was re-released on IMAX after the the film obtained Academy Awards, which managed to boost the overall gross to over $1 billion.
  • The Dark Knight's opening sequence, (showing a bank raid by the Joker) and closing montage of other scenes from the film, was screened with selected IMAX screenings of I Am Legend, which was released on December 14, 2007. A theatrical teaser was also released with non-IMAX showings of I Am Legend, and also on the official website.

Digital Screen Network

The average Hollywood blockbuster opens on 300-plus screens across the UK; most independent films, restored classics, documentaries and foreign language films still struggle to reach over ten per cent of those screens.

Digital screening cuts the cost of releasing films (a digital copy costs around one tenth of a 35mm print). That's why UK Film Council (now BFI) and the Arts Council England created the Digital Screen Network – a £12 million investment to equip 240 screens in 210 cinemas across the UK with digital projection technology to give UK audiences much greater choice.

Cinemas in the network have already screened non-mainstream films including Control, This is England, Good Night and Good Luck and the Oscar®-winning The Lives of Others, as well as classics like Meet me in St Loius, The Wizard of Oz and Casablanca.

Digital Screen Network cinemas hosted the UK Film Council and BBC Two's Summer of British Films season - a sell out tour running from July to September 2007 featuring British classics such as Goldfinger, Brief Encounter, Billy Liar, Henry V, The Wicker Man, The Dam Busters and Withnail and I.

batman 1989

The first ever film to be given a 15 certificate,

At the end of the film Batman brutally beats up the Joker. He punches him repeatedly and at one point smashes his head through a wall. The Joker's face is bloodied and bruised from this, and he is seen spitting mouthfuls of blood onto the floor.

The Joker plummets to his death at the end of the film. We do not see him hit the ground, but we get a lingering shot of his broken corpse partially embedded in the pavement below, with some blood around the head area

Bullet Boy Marketing Campaign

The campaign aimed its ads towards anything associated with the main character, Ashley Walters.  This included:
  • R 'n' B and Garage radio stations,
  • All National Newspapers with a significant space allocated to film reviews,
  • Newspapers with a black perspective,
  • A selective London Underground Campaign.
The film soon gathered a reputation of the only film that to tackle the difficult subject of contemporary gun and gang crime in Britain's inner cities.
 
Film 4 rated Bullet Boy 4.5 stars and said "Though Dibb cannot hope to encompass the whole subject matter in a 90-minute film, his focus on how gun culture affects the entire family unit is an intelligent approach, making the wider issue accessible - and subsequently harder hitting".
